Tell eYeka "what does Japan offer you that no other countries do?" They want you to do this by creating a video that shows what you love about Japan that is uniquely Japanese and no other country can do as well as Japan. This could be arts, food, cartoons, technology or anything else that you truly love about the place. To get the full brief you'll need to join eYeka. Completed videos should be uploaded to the eYeka website.
Prize:1st prize is 5,000€, 2nd prize is 2,000€ and 3rd prize is 1,000€. plus the nicest entries may be printed and displayed in an exhibition that will take place in Tokyo this year.
Rules:Participants must retain a quality copy of the submitted submissions. Minors wishing to participate must present a signed waiver from a parent/legal guardian.

GCUC: I Share My Space Video Contest

In this video contest by GCUC called "I Share My Space" you have to submit videos which are no longer than 30 seconds in length about coworking and which answers one of three questions which are: (a) What is coworking? (b) Why do you love coworking? or (c) What is your favorite coworking story? Completed videos should be uploaded to their Vimeo group.
Prize:The winner will receive $1,000 USD from LiquidSpace and a $1,000 USD donation to the winners' charity of choice also provided by LiquidSpace. The winner’s coworking facility will receive a $500 USD Apple gift certificate provided by Turnstone and a Medusa PlaceMaker Starter Kit provided by Phoenix Broadband (valued at $3000).
Rules:Only open to legal residents of the United States who are over 18 years old. Entrants must be able to prove that they are currently and active, paying member of a coworking space. By submitting a video, you are giving GCUC permission to use your video however they and their sponsors see fit. The fulls rules can be read here (PDF file).
6th Annual doGooder Nonprofit Video Awards

To enter your non-profit organization into these video awards you have to create a video which shows how your non-profit uses sight sound and motion to make an impact. The categories are best small organization, best medium organization and best large organization with a special category for best storytelling. Paticipants must be a member of the YouTube non-profit program.
Prizes include: Winning video featured on the YouTube homepage on April 5th, each winner receives $3,500 in donations and a suite of great products provided by Cisco, free registrations to the Nonprofit Technology Conference from NTEN and Special Prize Grants from the Case Foundation.

Knice Short Film Contest

Create a short film between 1 minute and 5 minutes long. The theme of the film contest is "Priceless Moment" and all entries should be filmed especially for this contest. Completed films should be submitted to the email address on the film contest page as a YouTube link complete with a filled in entry form.
Prize:The winning filmmaker will receive a screening of their film and a Apple 15" Mac Book Pro complete with install pro software Final Cut Studio 2, Adobe CS5, Maxon Cinema 4D, iWork, Microsoft Office 2011, and Logic Pro 9.

DepicT! 90 Second Super-Short Filmmaking Contest

"Can you do it in 90 seconds?" That is what DepicT are challenging you to do by submitting super-short films which are no longer than 90 seconds in length (including titles and credits). The rules state that you can enter films utilizing all production techniques, including animation, documentary, drama, experimental or artist film and hybrid work. Completed short films should be uploaded to this page.
Prize:The winning filmmaker of the DepicT! 2012 Award wins £1500 cash and UK distribution of the winning film through the Digital Screen Network plus lifetime membership to and bundle of goodies from Shooting People. The winning filmmaker of the Shooting People DepicT! 2012 Audience Award wins a lifetime membership to Shooting People plus UK distribution of the winning film through the Digital Screen Network. There are also other prizes/awards for a British Special Mention and shortlisted entrants.

One Shoot Films Short Film Competition 2012

Tim Kang (best known for his role as Kimball Cho on "The Mentalist") has recently launched One Shoot Films and they are having a competition to find a dramatic short film script which is between 5 and 15 minutes long and no more than 20 pages in length. 3 entries will be selected to pitch their script to the judges via video conferencing.
Prize:The winning short film script will be produced by One Shoot Films with a budget of up to $15,000 USD.
Rules:Entries from U.S. residents only who are aged over 21. Entry requires a $25 entry fee. Multiple entries are accepted.

Pizza Hut: Pizza Makes The World Go Round Assignment

Lumber Liquidators: Wood vs Carpet Video Assignment

Poptent are back with another assignment for you to do and this time they are looking for 30 second TV commercials for Lumber Liquidators. Lumber Liquidators sell hardwood and laminate wood flooring and want a commercial which "sets up a contrast between "wood" and carpet in a memorable, funny way." To enter you'll have to sign up and/or log in to Poptent and then you'll be able to download the creative brief and the assets.
