Video Contest Info:

Fidelity® are looking for entertaining, funny and unexpected short films of under 90 seconds about trying to find a better way. would like short films, no more than 90 seconds, about trying the better way. It doesn't matter whether this better way is successful or not, it’s the trying that should be celebrated. The creative brief states that your film should be built around 3 parts: The realization that there must be a better way, the inspiration on how it could be done better and what happens when it's tried. Prize:

Grand prize winner gets $8,000 and a round trip travel for two people to Austin, Texas with three nights hotel accommodation where your work will premiere in front of fellow winners, brand representatives and the MOFILM team. 2nd place gets $4,000, 3rd place gets $2,000, 4th place gets $1,000 and 5th place gets $1,000.

Land O'Moms: Be A Star On Broadway Video Contest

To enter you have to perform and record a 30 seconds to 2 minutes in length video of one of the following songs: “Do-Re-Mi” (The Sound of Music), “Oklahoma” (Oklahoma!), “All Shook Up” (All Shook Up), “Give My Regards to Broadway” (Little Johnny Jones), “Steal Your Rock and Roll” (Memphis). Completed entries should be uploaded using the entry form.

Reporters Without Borders Student Video Contest

Video Contest Info:

Reporters Without Borders is challenging US college students to create a video PSA of up to 50-seconds to help raise awareness about press freedom. Video entries should answer the question "Why should we care about press freedom?” The are looking for something that is creative, professional, and has enough impact to not only catch the viewers attention, but make them absorb the message, even after the video is off the air. Prize:

The winners PSA will air on CNN on May 3, 2012 and the winner may get an internship with Reporters Without Borders if you are able. Also, Reporters Without Borders will honor you at a press conference that day, and pay for travel and accommodations to New York City for up to three of your team members.

Rules:

Video contest is only open to students enrolled full or part time in an accredited university located in the United States who are 18 years of age or older and a legal resident of the 50 United States.

2012 OECD Global Youth Video Competition

Video Contest Info:

OECD are looking for a short video that is no longer than 3 minutes on the theme of Education and Skills and what are the big issues are today? Is it learning the right skills to get a job, bridging the 'digital divide', tackling inequality in access to education and training, inspiring creativity and innovation, or something else? Completed entries should be uploaded to YouTube and then the link submitted through the OECD registration form.

Prize:

Three winning videos selected by Jury will win an all expenses-paid trip to Paris, France to attend the OECD Forum on 22-24 May 2012. If a winning video is a group effort, then a nominated representative will be invited to Paris.

Rules:

To be eligible for prizes, you must be aged between 18 and 25 years during the period of this competition (14 December 2011 to 31 March 2012).

Firefox Flicks Video Contest

Mozilla the makers behind Firefox need some help to tell their amazing story and want you to create a video about one of these 4 issues: Privacy, Choice, Interoperability, and Opportunity. Your video should help people better understand the issues facing them online and shows how Firefox helps them deal with these issues. The categories are Best :30 Spot, Best Animation, Best Use of New Technology, Best Public Service Announcement. To see the full creative brief click here.

Prize:

The grand prize winner in each region (North America, Latin America, EU and Asia, Australia & New Zealand) will receive their choice of either $5,000 in video equipment or a film school scholarship plus flick could be used to share the amazing story of Firefox with the world. The top two winners in each category get $1,000 in video equipment. Top category winners for each region and the grand prize winner will also get a trip to a Firefox Flicks event in 2012. Any video that makes it into the contest will get a Firefox prize pack.

Rules:

Open to anyone in world. You can submit as many videos as you like. It is It is mandatory that you use the Firefox logo which can be found in their brand toolkit.

Western Union Short Film Competition

Video Contest Info:

This film competition has a theme which is "Connections" which is left for you to interpret anyway you like. All shorts should be no longer than 10 minutes in length. To enter this film competition download either the PDF or Word Document form at the bottom of the official video contest page.

Prize:

One winner is chosen from Australia, India and New Zealand. The Australian and New Zealand winners earn a trip to Bombay and the Indian winner earns a trip to Melbourne to present his film at the festival. Winning films are broadcast on SBS in Australia, Triangle/Stratos in New Zealand and UTV Bindass in India and screened at the 'Bollywood & Beyond Film Festival 2012' in Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Auckland. There is also a prize for the best use of Western Union branding in a film which wins $1000

Rules:

Open to residents of Australia, New Zealand and India. Films should have been completed within 12 months of the closing date. All films should be in English or have English subtitles.
