Stand For Japan! Video Contest

Video Contest Info:

Tell eYeka "what does Japan offer you that no other countries do?" They want you to do this by creating a video that shows what you love about Japan that is uniquely Japanese and no other country can do as well as Japan. This could be arts, food, cartoons, technology or anything else that you truly love about the place. To get the full brief you'll need to join eYeka. Completed videos should be uploaded to the eYeka website.

Prize:

1st prize is 5,000€, 2nd prize is 2,000€ and 3rd prize is 1,000€. plus the nicest entries may be printed and displayed in an exhibition that will take place in Tokyo this year.

Rules:

Participants must retain a quality copy of the submitted submissions. Minors wishing to participate must present a signed waiver from a parent/legal guardian.

1st Annual Karat Proposal Video Contest

Video Contest Info:

To enter you have to film a wedding proposal, but don't worry as you can film an original idea, re-enact a proposal or even film a real proposal. Videos should be 3 minutes in length or under. Completed videos should be submitted to the Karat.com along with all the required documentation.

Prize:

There is a grand prize available of $1,000.

Rules:

Open only to individuals over the age of 18 who are legal residents of the United States who are at least 18 years old. Karat.com automatically owns non-exclusive rights to all videos submitted for the contest, but you still retain the original rights to your video and can do with it as you please. GCUC: I Share My Space Video Contest

Video Contest Info:

In this video contest by GCUC called "I Share My Space" you have to submit videos which are no longer than 30 seconds in length about coworking and which answers one of three questions which are: (a) What is coworking? (b) Why do you love coworking? or (c) What is your favorite coworking story? Completed videos should be uploaded to their Vimeo group.

Prize:

The winner will receive $1,000 USD from LiquidSpace and a $1,000 USD donation to the winners' charity of choice also provided by LiquidSpace. The winner’s coworking facility will receive a $500 USD Apple gift certificate provided by Turnstone and a Medusa PlaceMaker Starter Kit provided by Phoenix Broadband (valued at $3000).

Rules:

Only open to legal residents of the United States who are over 18 years old. Entrants must be able to prove that they are currently and active, paying member of a coworking space. 6th Annual doGooder Nonprofit Video Awards

Video Contest Info:

To enter your non-profit organization into these video awards you have to create a video which shows how your non-profit uses sight sound and motion to make an impact. The categories are best small organization, best medium organization and best large organization with a special category for best storytelling. Paticipants must be a member of the YouTube non-profit program.

Prize:

Prizes include: Winning video featured on the YouTube homepage on April 5th, each winner receives $3,500 in donations and a suite of great products provided by Cisco, free registrations to the Nonprofit Technology Conference from NTEN and Special Prize Grants from the Case Foundation.

Rules:

Rapid Fire Theatre 2012 Online Video Competition

Video Contest Info:

Rapid Fire Theatre (An Improv Theatre in Edmonton, Canada) are looking for a video sketch which is under 4 minutes in length. The video must include the suggested sentence somewhere in the dialog which is "better late than never". All entries will be shown during a competition week commencing 5th March and the winner will be determined by views, comments, likes and favorites.

Prize:

$1,000 cash plus the winning video gets featured on the Rapid Fire Theatre website and YouTube channel for 12 months.

DepicT! 90 Second Super-Short Filmmaking Contest

"Can you do it in 90 seconds?" That is what DepicT are challenging you to do by submitting super-short films which are no longer than 90 seconds in length (including titles and credits). The rules state that you can enter films utilizing all production techniques, including animation, documentary, drama, experimental or artist film and hybrid work. Completed short films should be uploaded to this page.

Prize:

The winning filmmaker of the DepicT! 2012 Award wins £1500 cash and UK distribution of the winning film through the Digital Screen Network plus lifetime membership to and bundle of goodies from Shooting People. The winning filmmaker of the Shooting People DepicT! 2012 Audience Award wins a lifetime membership to Shooting People plus UK distribution of the winning film through the Digital Screen Network. There are also other prizes/awards for a British Special Mention and shortlisted entrants.

Rules:

Only films completed since September 2011 may be submitted. They do not accept advertisements. The maximum number of entries per individual is ten. The DepicT! British Special Mention Award is open to UK productions only.

Lumber Liquidators: Wood vs Carpet Video Assignment

Poptent are back with another assignment for you to do and this time they are looking for 30 second TV commercials for Lumber Liquidators. Lumber Liquidators sell hardwood and laminate wood flooring and want a commercial which "sets up a contrast between "wood" and carpet in a memorable, funny way." To enter you'll have to sign up and/or log in to Poptent and then you'll be able to download the creative brief and the assets.

Prize:

It is guaranteed that one video entry will be purchased for $7,500 USD by Lumber Liquidators. There are also $1,500 USD worth of cash rewards to hand out too.
