First Light are giving young people from the UK the chance to submit short films that are under 3 minutes long which are "digitally innovative". This could be special effects, innovative shot or unusual style. You can submit your film using the application form and send it in with your film on DVD.
Prize:The 3 best entries will be invited to the First Light Awards at the BFI in Southbank with the winner getting £1,000 towards future filmmaking projects.

Walmart are looking for a 30 second advert that celebrates its Every Day Low Prices and how customers can save money at Walmart, which makes life better. They are looking for videos which increase

Sundance London Short Film Competition 2012

Western Union Short Film Competition

This film competition has a theme which is "Connections" which is left for you to interpret anyway you like. All shorts should be no longer than 10 minutes in length. To enter this film competition download either the PDF or Word Document form at the bottom of the official video contest page.
One winner is chosen from Australia, India and New Zealand. The Australian and New Zealand winners earn a trip to Bombay and the Indian winner earns a trip to Melbourne to present his film at the festival. Winning films are broadcast on SBS in Australia, Triangle/Stratos in New Zealand and UTV Bindass in India and screened at the 'Bollywood & Beyond Film Festival 2012' in Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Auckland. There is also a prize for the best use of Western Union branding in a film which wins $1000
Rules:Open to residents of Australia, New Zealand and India. Films should have been completed within 12 months of the closing date. All films should be in English or have English subtitles.

LG: Introduce The Ultimate Display Video Contest

LG have released a new TV called 'The Ultimate Display" which uses OLED (Organic Light Emitting Diodes) and are looking for a 45 seconds to 60 second videos or animation which is exciting, surprising and that shows how it feels to be part of the show you are watching". You must add the LG video end frame at the end of the video. Completed videos should be uploaded to the eYeka website.
Prize:1st place gets 5,000€, 2nd place gets 2,500€, 3rd place gets 1,500€ and 4th place gets 1,000€.
Rules:Participants must retain a quality copy of the submitted submissions. Minors wishing to participate must present a signed waiver from a parent/legal guardian.
